Why you don't recommend 1/1 coating and what emulsion are you using. What are the drying time doing it 2/1 coating
Occasionally I hear of a dealer salesperson recommending 1/1 or even just 1 stroke but general rule of thumb 2/1 or 2/2 for consistent EOM from all the major manufacturers that I have been to their tech training class. Saati just setup their Automatic screen coater in our classroom and the default is 2/1 or 2/2 with all their emulsions. Except for High Density then we 2/4 or 2/8.
I’m curious, what printer did you use, can you tell us about that?
Epson T3270 24" roll printer, running all black inks and Accu-RIP software, printed separations from Adobe Illustrator

Higher mesh counts, at least 20 newtons tension and 15 to 20% eom stencil thickness, printing on white shirts 230 mesh, printing on dark shirts with white 155 to 230 mesh.

I thought this unit dried screens in 1hr
They have upgraded the unit since this video and the new time is approximately one hour. But It does vary by temp and humidity in the shop, as it isnt using heated air, Thanks for asking

Great question,.how much does it cost print a shirt manual vs automatically. Dont.be blinded from one perspective. If your doing weekly $1k, 10k, 100k 250k bagging is a small expense or major expense.

What was the steps to getting artwork done? What software?
This artwork actually came to use from a Japanese artist, he had already separated the artwork, so all we had to do was print it.
I've been printing shirts on and off since I was in high school. Later in life I spent years as the manager of a large shop. Haven't done it in years but I miss it.
Screen printing does seem to get into ones blood, so your not alone in missing it. Check out your local screenprinting tradeshows or open houses at dealers to play a little. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Was just looking at some on offer up out here near Seattle. Somebody has 6 for 80 bucks. The larger ones.
Usually they will be old frames and then you are just buying someone else's problems. If newer frames and really tight, snap them up at that price.

Yes the roll is a little expensive because you have to buy it by roll. I have some mesh that is 3 years old and hasn't changed color and still works.

I enjoyed doing that in the 3 day workshop. It’s very exciting when you use the last co,or and see it all fall in place. It’s like watching a magic trick.

Props to you. I was never a fan of the aluminum screens. Seeing that Vastex brings back memories. We had and 8 color 6 station and it worked like a champ for about a year until we had a new guy accidentally strip a few heads and one of the pallets. But that was our shop in a nutshell. lol Probably the only shop I ever heard of where the automatic sat idle for 3 years.
No issues with moire effect using two different LPI?
No, it is possible run the underbase at a little lower lpi to use a lower mesh count for brighter colors in your imafe. IMO moire is more lpi vs mesh then lpi vs lpi. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for sharing your opinion and sorry to hear you had a bad experience. But We disagree and along with other resellers like Ryonet, Made Labs, to name a few. Plus around 1,000 screenprint shops worldwide. No company is perfect, they are manufactured in Holland and rely on US resellers to assure clients are happy.
